Chicago will bring a bit of Windy City music to the Big Apple later this month when the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees take part in the 93rd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The three-hour New York City holiday tradition begins at 9 a.m. Thursday, November 28, and will air on NBC. The event will be hosted by Today show hosts Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker.
Other acts scheduled to appear or perform include TLC, Debbie Gibson, the Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Idina Menzel, Lea Michele, Natasha Bedingfield and Billy Porter from the TV series Pose.
Chicago says in a statement, "We are thrilled to be performing songs from our new album Chicago Christmas along the parade route with an expected 3.5 million[-plus] people in attendance and before a televised audience of more than 50 million viewers."
A message on the band's Facebook page reports that Chicago Christmas, which was released last month, debuted at #1 on Billboard's Holiday Album Sales chart.
Chicago previously took part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2003.
